OUR APPROACH

Expert instruction. Family-directed learning.

Our goal is to help homeschool students understand why ideas work, connect mathematics with scientific investigation, and approach unfamiliar problems with confidence.

Through learning by doing, we aim to build the reasoning skills and independence students need for college and beyond.

Learning options we are developing

Math and science courses

  • Instructor-led courses in math and science.
  • Homeschool-directed learning shaped by family needs.
  • Foundational through advanced study, including AP preparation.

In person or fully virtual

  • Local participation in Severn or entirely online.
  • Live-streamed and recorded sessions are part of the planned model.
  • Schedules and course details are still being developed.

Learning by investigation

  • Reasoning and problem solving to build understanding.
  • Hands-on labs and investigations to explore ideas.
  • In-person labs and home investigations with virtual assistance are being evaluated for suitable courses.

HELP SHAPE THE FIRST OFFERINGS

What does your student need next?

We are listening to homeschool families before choosing our first subjects, schedules, and course formats. Tell us which math and science subjects your family would seriously consider.

The short questionnaire lets you share interest or feedback without scheduling a conversation. It is not enrollment, and course availability, tuition, and start dates are not yet finalized.

Meet the people behind Veritas

We are a Maryland family developing a STEM homeschool academy around rigorous instruction, parental involvement, and the needs families share with us.

Ashley Keefe, CEO

A full-time homeschool mom of two, Ashley brings a background in kinesiology and experience as a certified powerlifting coach and trainer. She is building Veritas alongside Kevin, with a focus on keeping parents actively involved as their students pursue advanced math and science.

Kevin Keefe, Ph.D.

Kevin is a physicist, former state-certified high-school teacher, and former adjunct professor. His experience includes AP Physics, high-school chemistry and biology, undergraduate physics and astronomy, and graduate-level physics and electrical engineering.

His teaching range spans pre-algebra through differential equations and linear algebra, middle- and high-school science, and advanced physics. The initial course selection will depend on demand and delivery capacity.

Empowering everyone to discover truth.
